   Just for you...   Individual Counselling
People often reach out for counselling when they’re feeling vulnerable, stuck, or overwhelmed — but they’re unsure whether talking to a professional will actually make a difference. They may fear judgment, worry they’re “not bad enough” to need therapy, or feel anxious about opening up.
Everyone’s journey is different, but counselling is a supportive, confidential space where you can explore what’s going on and start making sense of it. Even if you're unsure where to begin, therapy offers tools, insight, and clarity — often in ways that surprise people. You don’t have to have all the answers yet. You just have to start by showing up.
“How do I know if counselling will really help me?"
Do any of these sound like you?
  • You feel isolated and alone with your problem and need to talk to a professional
  • You have some friends or family but they keep telling you what you should do, rather than really listening
  • You feel 'stuck' and need help to  get moving again with your life
  • You want to make some repairs to your relationship but your partner doesn't want to come to counselling
  • You are feeling controlled by your partner and/or emotionally distanced
  • You are struggling with parenting
  • You need help managing your relationships in a 'blended' family
  • You are struggling with a difficult work colleague or situation
  • You (or a loved one) are using drugs or alcohol more than you would like
I believe you are the expert in your life, and by working with your knowledge and experiences, we take apart the messy knot of problems, decide the focus, identify your strengths and supports, and explore your options.
We clarify your goals and develop your skills towards reaching them.
All of this is done privately, confidentially and at your own pace.
When you are ready to let go of the fear, shame, frustration, or anxiety that is getting in your way, or that feeling of being 'stuck',  contact me to book an Individual Counselling session at ThoughtMatters.
